Is your high school student ready to have their poetry recognized?

My 8-week Competitive Poetry course will provide students the opportunity to submit their class work to four popular poetry contests. Together, we will explore the fundamentals of poetry while identifying refining techniques to take a poem from “proficient” to “powerful.” This course will build your student’s confidence and writing skills as they engage with their creative self-expression and grow comfortable with the poetry contest application process.

Additional info:
Each class session will be an hour long, and the homework for each class should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Students can choose to submit their poetry to four out of six possible contests. Please note that a few of these contests have small application fees ranging from approximately $10 - $35.
